When it comes to the heart of the home, a kitchen should be more than just functional—it should feel open, inviting, and perfectly in tune with the way a family lives. For this project, our clients wanted to take their outdated, closed-off kitchen and transform it into a bright, transitional space with modern flow and timeless appeal.

The original kitchen suffered from a poor layout, outdated finishes, and a lack of connection to the family room. With nine-foot ceilings to work with, there was huge potential just waiting to be unlocked. The goal? Open things up, maximize storage, and create a design that felt fresh, clean, and cohesive.

By removing the old pantry, we were able to introduce two custom grey islands—a decision that completely redefined the space. These islands now serve as both hardworking prep stations and a central gathering point for family and friends.

Just off the kitchen, the butler’s pantry received the same thoughtful treatment. It now serves as a practical extension of the kitchen, offering extra prep space and storage, while maintaining the same cohesive look and feel.

To further enhance flow, we widened the opening to the family room. The floors were refinished on site with seamless transitions between new and existing flooring. Now the kitchen truly feels like part of the living space—perfect for entertaining or simply staying connected during everyday life.
